I served two tours in combat, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. I have met some extraordinary people along the way, yet I have always felt I was not on the path I was destined to be.
I wanted the freedom of self expression, creativity and the challenge of reaping what I sow into my business. I wanted the freedom to build something with my hands and pass it on to the next generation of my family.
With Blue Southern BBQ, it is my goal to show you the customer that barbecue is more than just food. It is a way to bring folks together, enjoy family and have fun with those you care about. Our company embraces this concept and we will always strive to be your best barbecue experience, food included.

LOW & SLOW
As a kid I was fortunate enough to experience true southern barbecue. Watching my Father and Grandfather patiently selecting the right log, placing it just so, to create the perfect amount of heat and smoke.
Their efforts would eventually yield a product so tender and juicy, it would blow your mind. The only reassurance they would receive that it was done right, was the sound of people eating and an occasional grown of enjoyment.
True Southern barbecue is not done quickly or efficiently in a gas cabinet. It's done with slow care of the fire to mold a cheap cut of meat into a meal fit for a king. At Blue Southern BBQ that is how we do barbecue and our goal is for you to experience exceptional barbecue the old way.

I've had several occasions to dine on this delicious food and I've always been pleased. I'm from Alabama and I'm very picky about my Mac and Cheese and this tastes like home. It's cheesy and well seasoned. The meat is also tender and flavorful. I've also tried the beans and deviled eggs both of which I recommend. If you are looking for a caterer don't hesitate to call.

We ordered from Blue Southern BBQ for our office Christmas party in Forestville, MD. Everything was very reasonably priced...even the delivery fee. The food was excellent! The pulled chicken had a nice smoky flavor to it. Both the chicken and the chopped Carolina pork were very moist, even after sitting out at the party for several hours. Everything we ordered tasted very good and received a lot of compliments from all of the employees. We would definitely order from here again and highly recommend others do as well!
